Nahida Akter, the team’s top scorer at number nine, led the way with twenty-two runs, followed by Ritu Moni (ten) and Fahima Khatun (eleven). However, they were helped by the fact that they scored 20 more runs, bringing their total closer to 100.

With scores of 10-5-10-3, Sophie Molineux wreaked havoc on the women’s team from Bangladesh. Each of Georgia Wareham, Alana King, and Ashleigh Gardner took two wickets.

But the Australian women’s team, led by star batswoman Ellyse Perry with 35 not out, stormed to a 2-0 lead in 23.5 overs, scoring 98-4. On 20, Ashleigh Gardner had not lost.
