Bangladesh’s BAT sacks Awards from the ICAB in three categories

Three awards (in three categories) have been given to BAT Bangladesh at the 23rd ICAB National Award for Best Presented Annual Reports 2022. This is the eighth time that the company has been honored with this honor since 2016.

BAT Bangladesh has won accolades in three distinct categories this year: First for Manufacturing, Third for Corporate Governance Disclosures, and First for Integrated Reports (Position: Certificate of Merit). The Review Committee for Published Accounts & Reports (RCPAR) of Council-ICAB conducted an impartial evaluation, and the Jury Board made the proper recommendation in choosing the winner.

An award ceremony was held at the Ball Room of Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka, in the capital recently. Tipu Munshi, MP, Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Shamsul Alam, Minister of State of the Ministry of Planning, was present as the Special Guest. Besides, Tapan Kanti Ghosh, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Sharifa Khan, Secretary, Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Finance, graced the event as Guests of Honor, in attendance with other distinguished guests.

In recognition of this outstanding achievement, BAT Bangladesh’s Chairman Mr. Golam Mainuddin was presented with the individual trophy and merit certificates. Accompanying him were the company’s Independent Director, Professor M. Harunur Rashid, PhD, Mr. Sudesh Peter, Head of Legal and External Affairs, and Md Azizur Rahman, Head of Public Affairs and Company Secretary.
