Bangladesh Business Summit to accelerate trillion dollar journey: FBCCI

As part of the celebration of its 50th founding anniversary, the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) will organize the three-day “Bangladesh Business Summit 2023” from March 11–13 at the Bangabandhu International Convention Centre (BICC), Dhaka.

According to news agency BSS, Bangladesh’s prime minister Sheikh Hasina will open the three-day conference that will be hosted by the country’s top trade organization.

It is planned that the Bangladesh Business Summit would replace other business conferences as Bangladesh’s premier trade and investment promotion event.

By bringing together leaders in business from around the country and the world, investors, policymakers, practitioners, analysts of policy and market trends, academics, and innovators, it will highlight Bangladesh’s economic and market strengths as well as the specific trade and investment opportunities available in the nation.

These were made public at a press conference that was held on Saturday to inform the media about the summit at a city hotel.

Jashim Uddin, president of the FBCCI, was present at the news conference as the chief guest. According to him, the summit would emphasize the success tale that laid the groundwork for Bangladesh’s trajectory of sustained economic progress.

“It will showcase the dynamic business investment opportunities and the improvements and business environment reforms, and gain insights into the investment priorities of the global investors to improve policy, facilitate the exchange of investment success stories and good practices among investors,” he said.Jashim said FBCCI will seek investors’ views and suggestions to create more partnership opportunities, secure concrete investment proposals and develop a solid investment pipeline for important sectors, and will facilitate effective networking dialogue and partnership opportunities among national and international investors, policymakers, and broader groups of stakeholders.
