Many Ukrainians’ lives have been altered as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Oleksandr Kunyzkyj, a DW reporter, visited Lviv, a western city where hundreds of refugees have arrived from all over the nation.
Lviv, in western Ukraine, is known for its tiny alleyways, old buildings, cozy cafes, and bustling streets. Life in Ukraine’s seventh-largest city appears to be substantially unchanged at first appearance. The abrupt piercing sound of an air raid siren, on the other hand, makes it apparent that life here is anything from normal.
People must seek refuge in a bunker when the air raid siren sounds, and dread is obvious among those waiting in lines at ATMs or blood donation centers.
Thousands of residents have already been forced to escape their homes as a result of Russia’s military strike on Ukraine, either abroad or to western Ukraine, including the city of Lviv.
