Dhaka wants to start flights with India in August

Under the Air Bubble Agreement, the government is considering establishing restricted flights with India starting in August. All parties involved are in discussions. Masood bin Momen, the Foreign Secretary, told reporters at his office on Tuesday (July 26th).

He remarked, “We’re already talking to folks who are worried about launching an air bubble.” As a result, we’ve proposed launching limited flights. The implementation of this decision will take some time. As a result, we hope to begin it in August at a convenient time. We’ve started talking to everyone who is concerned about this.’

To combat the spread of corona, Bangladesh’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) stated on July 5 that air connectivity with six nations, including India, would be suspended indefinitely.

Botswana, Nepal, Mongolia, Namibia, Panama, South Africa, and Tunisia are the other countries on the list, in addition to India.

India’s current predicament In India, the situation with Corona is improving. On Tuesday, the number of infections in the country fell below 30,000 for the first time in 132 days. At the same time, the number of active patients in the country has dropped to fewer than four lakh after 124 days.

According to the Indian Ministry of Health, 29,069 people in India have been newly infected with corona in the last 24 hours.
