Bangladesh receives 180 tons of oxygen from India as gift

On Wednesday, India dispatched 11 tankers carrying 180 metric tons of liquefied medical oxygen to Bangladesh on an emergency basis.

ICP Petrapole officials provided a Green Corridor for Medical Oxygen export because of the importance of these supplies of Liquid Oxygen to Bangladeshi hospitals, according to a news release issued by the Indian High Commission here today.

Linde, Spectra, and Pure Oxygen were importing the oxygen, according to the statement.

Despite the Eid-ul-Azha holiday, a special team of Land Port officials, Customs officials, BSF and CNF agents was formed, according to Anit Jain, Assistant Commissioner of Customs at ICP Petrapole, and they were in regular contact with the High Commission of India in Dhaka and their Benapole counterparts.

Both sides’ port authorities have great working relationships and a long history of aiding one another.

According to the announcement, government officials on both sides of the border exhibited brotherhood by supporting each other on Eid-ul-Azha day.
