Jadeja took a record 37 in one over in IPL

There are six balls in one over. Even if he hits sixes in all, he is supposed to score 36 runs. But Rabindra Jadeja took 37 runs in one over of Hershel Patel! Such an incident happened in the match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. 6-7-7-8-2-6-4, Jadeja blew Patel in the last over.

Of course, this is not the first such incident in the IPL. Earlier, Chris Gayle had made such a name for himself against young taskers for Bengaluru in 2011. The record for most runs in an over in T20 cricket is held by Scott Styris.

He hit a 37-ball century for Sussex in 2012. At that time he took 38 runs in one over of James Fool. In that match, however, there were eight ball overs. Jadeja also hit 37 off seven balls by Herschel. One of which was the no-ball.

Jadeja hit a six off the first three balls of the over at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, with the third ball being a no-ball. Jadeja then hit a six from a free hit. After taking 2 runs in the next ball, he hit sixes and fours in the next two balls.
