Centrally, India will not go for lockdown

Despite record deaths and infections, India will not go into central lockdown. The decision was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an emergency address to the nation on Tuesday.

India has recorded 2,021 deaths in 24 hours. Which is a record in the history of the country’s Corona epidemic. About 3 lakh infections have been identified. In Maharashtra alone, more than 72,000 people were found dead in a single day. The death toll rose to 519, the highest in the state since September.

Meanwhile, a record 28 people died in the capital New Delhi on Tuesday. Over 26,000 infections have been identified. Besides, hundreds of people lost their lives in one day in six more states including Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Gujarat.

In his address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India was fighting a second wave of epidemics. But lockdown may not be a solution; Be careful yourself.

Narendra Modi said that the imposition of lockdown in the whole country should be stopped at any cost. I will also tell the state governments to keep lockdown as the last option to deal with the spread of corona. Instead, focus on small areas. Many hospitals are facing a terrible oxygen crisis in the second wave. Maximum efforts are being made to resolve it in collaboration with the Center, the states and the private sector.
