Another 10-day lockdown in Iran to deal Corona’s fourth wave

A 10-day lockdown has been imposed in Iran to deal with the fourth wave of the epidemic. The announcement came from the presidential office on Saturday.

The government has agreed to the proposal of the National Coronavirus Task Force. Under it, all parks, restaurants, beauty parlors, shopping malls and bookstores in 256 cities will be closed. Eighty-five percent of the country is divided into red and orange zones based on high incidence.

193 people have died in the country in 24 hours, about 20,000 new infections have been identified.

It is thought that the Persian New Year – Nowruz, did not spread to the country in a new way. Iran is set to launch a vaccination program soon with shipments of 2 million vaccine doses provided by the World Health Organization.
