Where love gets locked with memories of scenic beauty

Surrounded by the blue waters of Kaptai Lake in Rangamati and the green shadows of the distant hills, Polwell Nature Park has a small pylon, shaped like a red heart. Hundreds of locks are hanging in the middle of this red heart.

Yes, it is the First Lover lock point in Bangladesh. Where you can pay a visit to show respect for others’ love as well as for your one. On 29 November 2018, This Love Point was integrated and it’s open for all the fans of “love”.

All travel enthusiasts can visit the first “Love Lock Point” of Bangladesh during their Rangamati trip. All are most welcome to hang a lock with the massage contain there own love story. Also, they can show respect to the love story which still floating in the blue freshwater of Kaptai Lake. “Alauddin and Lima’s love story”

Alauddin, an American expatriate, came to Rangamati with his wife Irene Sultana Lima on March 19, 2014. On the same day, while sailing on Kaptai Lake with a motorboat, the boat was shaken by a sudden storm and Lima jumped into the water in fear. Alauddin also jumped into the lake to save his wife. The divers did not find them after much searching. Three days later, on March 22, the bodies of Alauddin and Lima floated in the water while embracing each other. Death could not separate the couple. Such a rare scene of love flooded the heart of peoples.

The country’s first love point has been built in Polwell Nature Park next to the place where their bodies were found floating in homage to the love of Alauddin-Lima. Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board Chairman Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura unveiled the Love Lock Point on 29 November 2018.

Not only for this couple but also to show sympathy and respect for all the lovers around the world for their love.

Designed and planned by Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board, It is a wonderful travel destination in Rangamati, where the eyesight goes through the red heart towards the blue-green beauty of Rangamati.
