Trump’s executive order to control social media is signed

US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order regulating social media. Critics have reacted sharply, calling it a legally dubious political revenge.

However, Trump told reporters at the White House that the big tech companies have the uncontrolled power to censor, restrict, edit, resize, hide and change any kind of communication exclusively between the Citizens or the general public. “We can’t let it go,” Trump said.

In another tweet, Trump threatened to tighten control of the social media platform, even shutting it down, saying, ‘Republicans think social media completely silences the voices of conservatives. We will control or shut them down before anything happens. We know what kind of steps they took in 2016. However, did not succeed. We will not give another chance.

However, social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Google have not yet commented on the matter. Internet platforms are expected to lose power if the order is implemented.
