Eid items have been distributed to more than two hundred sixty families in Dhaka and Kurigram. The initiative was taken by Safety Management Foundation. Under the leadership of Mr. Rustam Ali Khokon, the advisor of the Foundation, Eid items and cash were distributed among 60 families in Shyamoli, Mohammadpur and Adabar areas of Dhaka on the 29th day of Ramadan.
On the other hand, on 29th and 30th of Ramadan, Mawlana Roknuzzaman in Baldia Union of Bhurungamari Upazila of Kurigram, district in northern part of Bangladesh, Manjurul Islam in Bhurungamari Sadar and Paikerchhara Unions, Rashidul Islam in Nageshwari, Sujan Mohanta in Kurigram Sadar, Noman Khan in Ghogadah, Masum bin Tahmid in Rowmari and Soaibur Rahman Sohag in Rajarhat Upazilla, led the program for Eid items distribution. The Eid items have been distributed among a total number of 260 families under the leadership of Safety Management Foundation.
The Safety Management Foundation has been working in the field since the outbreak of Coronavirus. Initially hand sanitizers were made and distributed among the day laborers and rickshaw pullers at free of cost and this organization has distributed 7 days’ foods at 10 taka only among the low-income people. Safety Foundation distributed food items at Shyamnagar in Shatkhira among the Amphan affected people today.
Safety Management Foundation basically works with disaster management at the field level. It provides training on Fire safety, Earthquake management, Road Safety, Emergency rescue, First aid, Climate change etc.
Shakhawat Swapon, the founder and chairman of the Safety Management Foundation, said the crisis would be lessened and people would be able to stay at home if the solvent people of the society stood by the lower income holders in the Corona epidemic. He expressed his gratitude and thanks to those who have been making the program a success with financial support and labor.
