WHO conference passed resolution for separate inquiry of Corona epidemic

The World Health Organization has adopted a proposal for a separate investigation into the coronavirus epidemic. Today, Tuesday, the organization’s 194 member states agreed on an independent response to the pandemic, as well as the role of the World Health Organization (WHO).

According to the BBC, the proposal calls for an investigation into the source of the virus and how it spread to humans. In addition, it will be investigated whether the WHO has played an appropriate responsible role during the epidemic.

Earlier, the WHO was accused of failing to declare a state of emergency in a timely manner. The allegations will be investigated. The proposal came upon the first day of the conference yesterday, asking for a response to the epidemic. The proposal, signed by 100 countries, was presented by the European Union.

The proposal calls for a “neutral, independent, and comprehensive assessment” of the international response to the epidemic. In addition, the proposal calls for transparency, fairness, and timely access to any coronavirus vaccine and treatment. Despite attending the conference, China did not object to the proposal.
