BCCI is facing a loss of almost Rs 4,000 crore

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly has not ruled out the possibility of cutting players’ wages. The wave of the financial recession that has swept the world of sports as a result of the coronavirus infection could also push the BCCI.

When asked if the board was considering cutting the players’ salaries, Ganguly said, “We have to check the financial situation. “We need to know how much money we have and then we will decide. If IPL is not going to happen, there will be a loss of at list four thousand crore rupees, which is huge.” Ganguli added.

The former Indian captain assured that if the IPL can be organized, the worries about the salaries of the players will be reduced.

Meanwhile, Cricket Australia is also in a financial crisis due to Corona situation. Australia plans to recover from the crisis by hosting a series with India. For this reason, they want to increase the number of matches in the pre-scheduled four-Test series. This series is supposed to be by the end of this year.
