Singapore to ease some curbs put in place to contain the spread of the coronavirus

Singapore will begin to ease some curbs put in situ to contain the spread of the coronavirus over the subsequent few weeks, Health Minister Gan Kim Yong said on Saturday.

Selected works, for example – home-based businesses, laundrette and saloons are going to be allowed to run from May 12. Some students are going to be allowed to return back to educational institutions in small groups from May 19.

Some worksites are going to be allowed to reopen gradually, taking under consideration their significance to the economy and provide chains and their capability to minimise risks of transmission.
