Grameenphone signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 8 with the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia and drive a series of initiatives in the “Digital Innovation” sector.
The students of ULAB will get first-hand experience in the world of Digital Innovation. In collaboration with Startup ULAB, Grameenphone’s Innovation Ecosystem Enabling platform White-board will drive Innovation lab that would mentor and train students to develop their ideas, prototypes and enable them to deploy their products into the market. There will be regular pitching sessions where the students will be given the platform to present their ideas to Digital Ecosystem experts and be mentored and trained accordingly.
White-board in partnership with ULAB also aims to drive some initiatives with World Innovation Forum to enable the startup ecosystem. The students of the university will also get the opportunity to become familiar with practical and world-class IoT endeavors of Grameenphone because of the MoU.
Quazi Mohammad Shahed, Chief Human Resources Officer of Grameenphone; Professor Imran Rahman, Special Advisor to the Board of Trustees, ULAB signed the MoU. Mahmud Hossain, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Grameenphone was also present on the occasion.
This collaboration would be beneficial for both sides and would greatly enhance innovation through knowledge exchange and drive the Digital Transformation of Bangladesh.
