Hong Kong shares opened higher on Friday

Hong Kong shares opened higher on Friday, as investors were buoyed by hopes for further headway on US President Donald Trump’s much-trumpeted tax cuts. The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.43 percent, or 122.52 points, to 28,324.90.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.09 percent, or 3.07 points, to 3,404.50 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, edged down 0.06 percent, or 1.26 points, to 2,029.09, reports BSS.
