Bangladeshi iconic golfer Siddikur Rahman made a huge climb in the latest Official World Golf Ranking jumping up 78 steps from 360th to 282nd spot on Monday with outstanding display in the Porsche European Open. Siddikur Rahman finished his tour with a thired position in European Open organized at Germany.
Siddikur, whose total points in the ranking is 26.40, made his name a surprise in the prestigious European Open in Germany the previous day by clinching the third spot with solid performance throughout the last four days. It was his best ever achievement in any European Tour events, already holding two Asian Tour titles before.

Siddik had a brilliant bogey-free round with four birdies in the last day of the tournament on Sunday to finish just two shots back of eventual winner Jordan Smith, who defeated Alexander Levy on the second play-off hole for his first victory at the Green Eagle Golf Courses.
He had one of his finest days in the fourth round of the European Open as carded a brilliant bogey-free four-under-par 68 with four birdies. He scored a total 11-under-par 277 which was only two shot behind the leaders.

Hoping for the continuation in India.” stated Sidddikur through facebook on Monday after arriving in Bengalore to take part in the TAKE Solutions Masters which will be held in Bengalore Golf Course on August 3 to August 6.
The 32-year old two-time Asian Tour winner, who had never before finished in the top 10 of a European Tour event not co-sanctioned by an Asian tour, was ecstatic with his achievement, his greatest success till date.
Siddik also earned the prize money of 112,600 Euros, which is more than 1.07 crore in Bangladeshi taka. It also doubled his earning this year after he could bag only $93,040 in eight tournaments he played in Asian Tour since January.
