Following the massive success of previous co-branded smartphones Grameenphone and Lava have jointly brought two new affordable smartphones to the Bangladeshi market, bundled with exclusive offers.
Two Grameenphone-Lava co-branded devices, Lava Iris 605 and Lava Iris 821, were launched at a ceremony at a city hotel on November 14. The devices have been launched at a time when smartphone adoption is increasing at a significant rate thanks to the extended 3G coverage across the country and a host of useful digital services by Grameenphone.

Lava Iris 605, priced BDT 4,299, features 2 megapixel front flash camera and 5 megapixel rear camera along with features like smile detection, panorama, HDR, and beauty mode. The device is powered by 1.3 GHz dual-core Mediatek processor, 8 GB ROM, 1 GB RAM, and a 1750 mAh battery. Running on Android Lollipop 5.1, the device has 4.5 inch display. The device has some attractive customized features like video calling, musical dial pad tone, etc.
Lava Iris 821, priced BDT 6,999, on the other hand, boasts a 5 inch HD IPS display with 2.5D arc corning glass with real-world color rendition. Under the hood, there is a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor along with 16 GB ROM and 2 GB RAM.
For photo enthusiasts, Lava Iris 821 has an 8 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front autofocus camera with wide aperture which will allow better photography in low light conditions.
The phone runs on Star OS on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and has some interesting features like musical keypad tone, custom gestures and many fascinating in-camera beauty features. Its large 2500 mAh battery will ensure continuous service more than a day, supporting extended video playback, gaming and browsing.
Both of the phones come preloaded with useful apps like WowBox, My Contacts and Fun Store. In addition, Customers of both the smartphones will get a complimentary back cover and screen protector inside the box . Grameenphone has also offered two attractive bonus offers with these two smartphones.

Customers will get 12 months manufacturer’s warranty and fastest after sales service from Lava service centers. Customers will also get a 15-day Early Life Failure whereby if any device is identified faulty within 15 days of purchase, customer will get a new smartphone as a replacement.
