The British Council offices in Bangladesh reopens on 26 September 2016. All public-facing operations and services will resume across the country.

After the temporary closure to carry out necessary renovation works, The British Council is now ready to welcome everyone back to their premises in Chittagong, Sylhet, and Dhaka.

Registration for the Pearson Edexcel Examinations in January 2017 session has started from 22 September and ends on 13 October 2016.  School candidates are requested to contact their school for a unique school candidate registration link. Private candidates can apply through British Council website www.britishcouncil.org.bd. This is for all candidates in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Dinajpur, Rajshahi and Khulna.

IELTS registration dates are open for October and November 2016. IELTS candidates can register online at ielts.britishcouncil.org. The British Council’s English language classes for term 4 will start from 12 October.

Students can book a level test online and register for an English course at one of their Dhaka Teaching Centres in Dhaka University campus and Uttara – and in Agrabad in Chittagong. They will also be running all of their Business Training courses and workshops as usual.

Offices of British Council in Bangladesh were closed temporarily to review their security procedures on 27th July 2016. After 2 months, The British Council reopens today.
