Tokyo stocks opened lower on Tuesday, extending a global sell-off amid growing worries that US trade frictions with China could escalate, reports BSS.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index lost 0.85 percent, or 189.41 points, to 22,148.74 in early trade while the broader Topix index was down 0.70 percent, or 12.05 points, at 1,716.22.
