Hong Kong shares barely moved after the open on Tuesday as investors took a breather after three days of gains. The Hang Seng Index inched up 0.81 points to 30,998.79.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.10 percent, or 3.18 points, to 3,088.01, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, rose 0.04 percent, or 0.70 points, to 1,748.66.
