DHAKA Dynamites back with bang in BPL

News Hour

Dhaka dynamites shrugged off their dismal start as recorded a handsome 65 runs win over Khulna Titans in the fourth match of Bangladesh Premier League encounter held at Sylhet National Cricket Stadium.

It was Cameron Delport and Evin Lewis who were in impressive form as they registered blazing half-centuries which enabled Dhaka Dynamites to pile up an imposing 202 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs.

Thanks to duo Lewis and Delport who went on a rampage six-hitting spree in a period of batting mayhem that lasted nine overs.

The two heroes of the evening for Dhaka added 116 for the second wicket that portrayed the true picture of title aspirants Dhaka to post the first 200-plus total in the tournament since the 2013 edition.

As expected , since no team had ever successfully chased down a 200-plus total in the BPL, and that stayed on Sunday as Khulna were awe struck to put insipid display as they literally crawled to miserly 137 in their reply, getting bowled out in 18.1 overs, surprisingly their foreign signing Jofra Archer top scored with 36.

On the inaugural day on Saturday, Dhaka Dynamites suffered a crushing nine wickets defeat at the hand of host Sylhet Sixers.

While Sylhet Sixers maintained their winning spree with another convincing four wickets win over Comilla Victorians in the day’s first outing.
