Banijjo.com emerges as a unified digital commerce platform for Bangladeshi businesses.

A new Bangladeshi digital commerce platform, Banijjo.com (বাণিজ্য), is seeking to bring businesses, products, suppliers, retailers and consumers together through a unified digital ecosystem.

Operating under the tagline “One Platform. Every Trade.”, Banijjo describes itself as “বাংলাদেশের ব্যবসার ডিজিটাল ঠিকানা”—a digital address for businesses in Bangladesh. The platform combines online commerce with a range of tools designed to help businesses establish a digital presence and manage day-to-day commercial operations.

Unlike conventional online marketplaces that primarily focus on connecting buyers with sellers, Banijjo combines marketplace and digital storefront functions with business-management services. Its platform includes digital business profiles, product catalogues, online storefronts, point-of-sale (POS) billing, inventory management, customer and supplier accounts, digital ledger functions and business reporting.

The platform is designed to serve a broad range of businesses, including retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, suppliers, resellers, online businesses and service providers. Its listed business categories include grocery stores, pharmacies, clothing and footwear retailers, electronics businesses, restaurants, cafés, hardware and sanitary stores and other small and medium-sized enterprises.

Combining commerce and business management

Banijjo’s platform integrates several functions that businesses often manage through separate systems. Its POS system includes features such as barcode scanning, discount management, tax-related options and invoice or cash-memo generation. The platform also provides inventory tools for monitoring purchases, sales and stock levels, including low-stock notifications.

For customer and supplier transactions, Banijjo provides digital ledger or “Khata” functionality for recording outstanding balances. The platform also advertises payment reminders and SMS notifications related to outstanding accounts.

Businesses can additionally access reporting tools covering sales, purchases, customers, suppliers, receivables, payables, income and expenses. The platform describes these functions as part of its business dashboard and analytics system.

Marketplace and supplier network

Alongside business-management tools, Banijjo operates an online marketplace where customers can discover products offered by participating businesses.

The platform also provides services for suppliers and wholesalers, with functions aimed at connecting suppliers with retailers and supporting wholesale and bulk transactions. This gives the platform both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) components.

According to Banijjo, the broader concept is to connect the different stages of commerce—from businesses and products to trade and business operations—within a single digital environment.

Comparison with existing platforms

Banijjo enters a Bangladeshi digital commerce market that already includes established platforms such as Daraz and Pathao Commerce, although the services have different primary orientations.

Daraz primarily operates as an online marketplace where independent sellers list products and customers purchase through the platform. Pathao Commerce, meanwhile, focuses on helping online businesses manage products, orders, inventory, storefronts and other aspects of digital commerce.

Banijjo overlaps with both models but combines marketplace functionality with physical-retail management, POS, inventory, digital ledger, supplier management and digital storefront services.

This positions Banijjo within the growing segment of commerce technology platforms seeking to connect online sales with the operational needs of businesses.

Mobile application

Banijjo has also established a presence on mobile through its Android application, “Banijjo.com | বাণিজ্য.কম,” which is available through Google Play.

The Google Play listing identifies Mojibur Rahman Shymal as the developer of the application. Public professional information also associates Shymal with Banijjo Mela, while an e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB) 2024–26 voter list lists him as the voter/member representative associated with Banijjo Mela.

Available public information establishes Shymal’s association with Banijjo and Banijjo Mela, although an independent source explicitly identifying him as the founder of Banijjo.com would be required before making a definitive founder attribution.

A broader digital commerce vision

Banijjo’s stated objective extends beyond operating an online marketplace. The platform presents itself as digital infrastructure intended to give businesses an online identity, make products and services easier to discover, and facilitate connections among businesses, suppliers and customers.

The company describes its broader conceptual flow as “Business → Product → Trade → Operations → AI,” reflecting its focus on integrating commerce, business operations and technology.

As Bangladesh’s retail and commerce sectors continue to adopt digital tools, platforms such as Banijjo are seeking to address the needs of businesses that operate across both physical and digital channels.

Banijjo currently identifies Dhaka, Bangladesh, as its base and operates through its website and mobile application.
