1000 youths get job through PRAN-RFL job fair in Lalmonirhat

Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu has said there is no alternative to employment generation to make a society self-reliant from economic and social point of view.

He said this while inaugurating a daylong job fair organized by PRAN-RFL Group at Lalmonirhat District Stadium today. 

The job fair was arranged aimed at creating employment opportunity for youths in the northern region and expansion of industrialisation.

Inaugurating the fair the minister said the government is working to create new employment opportunities across the country over the next five years. 

He said emphasis has been given to expansion of industrialization to create job opportunities for youths.

He expressed hope that around one thousand youths would get employment opportunities through the job fair.

The minister said Lalmonirhat, a bordering district in the northern region, has long been subjected to development disparity. Due to the absence of industries and limited employment opportunities, a large number of educated youths in the region remain unemployed.

The minister said PRAN-RFL Group had been urged to establish industries in the region considering the potential of agricultural products like paddy, wheat, maize and potato.

He said many educated youths due to their financial crisis cannot appear in the recruitment exam held out the district. 

After the matter was conveyed to the PRAN-RFL authorities, they assured giving job to one thousand youths through a job fair in Lalmonirhat, Dulu said.

The minister said the government is giving importance not only to employment generation but also to expansion of education. Initiatives have been taken to distribute bicycles among girl students at Teesta char areas to make their movement easy.

Addressing the job seekers, the minister said, skilled manpower can be developed through doing job in different parts of the country. He urged youths to develop their professional skill.

Officials and employees of PRAN-RFL Group, senior officials of the local administration and political leaders were present.
