For a three-day goodwill visit to Bangladesh, the Indian Navy ship INS SUNAYNA has docked at Chattogram Port.

According to official sources, the visiting ship was greeted when it entered Bangladeshi waters by the Bangladeshi Navy ship Ali Haider.

When the visiting ship arrived at Chattogram Port, the captain, officers, and sailors were welcomed by the Commander of the Chattogram Naval Area Chief Staff Officer.

The Navy’s band played traditional music to welcome the ship, and senior Navy officials, along with a representative from the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh were present.

During their stay in Bangladesh, a delegation, including the captain of the visiting ship and the Naval Advisor of the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh, will pay courtesy calls on various officials, such as Commander Chattogram Naval Area, Commander BN Fleet, Area Superintendent Dockyard, and Chairman of Chattogram Port Authority.

The officers and sailors of the visiting ship will also visit the training base and ships of the Bangladesh Navy, as well as important historical and tourist sites in Chattogram.

In return, officers and sailors of the Bangladesh Navy will visit the Indian ship. This goodwill visit aims to facilitate the exchange of professional experiences between the two navies and strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and India.

The Indian Navy ship is scheduled to depart Bangladeshi waters on May 10, 2026.
