Singaporean ship MT Yuan Jing He has moored at Chattogram port carrying 27,300 tons of fuel.
Since the start of the Middle East crisis, this ship is the eighth to arrive in Chattogram harbor. The ship was docked at the Dolphin Jetty on Friday afternoon, according to BPC Assistant Manager Farzin Hasan Moumita.
Another ship, SHAN GANG FA ZHAN, is scheduled to arrive at the port today carrying 34,000 tons of diesel from Malaysia, according to Port Secretary Syed Refayet Hamim.
Additionally, two large ships carrying LPG and LNG have reached the port’s outer anchorage. To ensure a steady fuel supply, efforts are being made to import fuel from sources outside the Middle East, in addition to the oil and gas in the pipeline.
