Police to wear hidden cameras during polls: EC

As part of increased security measures, police officers assigned to voting places for tomorrow’s 13th National Parliamentary Elections and referendum will don covert cameras, the Election Commission (EC) announced today.

EC Director (Public Relations) M. Ruhul Amin Mallik signed a statement revealing the information.

The EC will use closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras to continuously monitor polling places, the statement said. Drones will also be utilized to keep an eye on the surroundings.

According to the committee, any actions intended to sow chaos or anarchy will be documented, and those responsible will face severe consequences.

All parties involved have been encouraged by the EC to abstain from any unlawful activity throughout the election process.
