In honor of former Prime Minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, the Bangladeshi Embassy in Tokyo opened a condolence book today.
According to an official handout, representatives of several foreign diplomatic missions stationed in Japan visited the embassy and signed the condolence book, offering their condolences for the veteran political leader’s loss.
You can sign the condolence book until January 6th.
In honour of Begum Khaleda Zia, an uncompromising leader of the movement for the restoration of democracy, the interim government declared a three-day state mourning from December 31 to January 2.
As part of the state mourning programme, the national flag was flown at half-mast at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo throughout the mourning period.
