Sri Lanka flooding death toll hits 410: official

Following a week of intense rainfall, the Disaster Management Center said on Tuesday that 410 people have died as a result of flooding and landslides in Sri Lanka, with an additional 336 persons reported missing.

The largest natural calamity to strike the nation since the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, according to the report, harmed more than 1.5 million people.
