Bangladesh’s Attorney General, Md. Asaduzzaman, stressed the necessity of working together to eradicate the culture of delayed justice, claiming that it is compromised when justice is postponed.On Thursday night, he spoke as the primary guest at the annual dinner of the Sylhet District Bar Association.
Advocate Sarwar Ahmad Chowdhury (Abdal), President of the Sylhet District Bar Association, oversaw the event, which was jointly run by Advocate Rob Newaz Rana and Advocate Ohidur Rahman Chowdhury, Joint Secretaries.
The welcome speech was delivered by the association’s General Secretary Advocate Md Zobayer Bokht Zuber. Senior District and Sessions Judge of Sylhet Mohammad Halim Ullah Chowdhury, Sylhet Metropolitan Sessions Judge Munsi Abdul Majid, and former president of the Sylhet District Bar Association and former public prosecutor Advocate ATM Faez Uddin, spoke at the event as special guest. Sylhet’s Public Prosecutor Advocate Shamim Ahmed Siddiqui, executive committee member Advocate Md Ashik Uddin (Ashuk) and Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Advocate Badrul Ahmad Chowdhury also addressed the event. A cultural programme was held at the end of the programme.
