Frenchwoman who escaped Nazi massacre dies aged 100

According to the mayor’s office, Camille Senon, a feminist and union organizer who barely survived the Nazi murder in her French village of Oradour-sur-Glane, passed away on Thursday at the age of 100.

On June 10, 1944, Senon was a young woman when her family and 642 other peasants were killed when the elite SS unit of the Third Reich marched into Oradour.
