Bangladesh Bank buys $47.50m through dollar auction

As part of its continuous plan to stop the US dollar’s decline vs the taka and boost the export and remittance industries, Bangladesh Bank (BB) today paid US$47.50 million to eight commercial banks using a multiple auction procedure.

It purchased dollars today at a cost of Tk121.70-121.75, according to central bank data.
