3rd Int’l Conference on Mechanical Engineering concludes at MIST

The 3rd International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Applied Science (ICMEAS 2025) concluded today at the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), having been held from July 17 to 19, 2025.

The closing ceremony of the conference took place at MIST today, with General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, serving as the chief guest. He awarded the best papers presented at the seminar, according to an ISPR release.

The conference saw the participation of researchers and professionals from academia and industry representing various countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Brunei, Egypt, Canada, Ireland, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Australia, India, Singapore, and China, alongside Bangladesh. They gathered to share up-to-date knowledge and experience in the fields of Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aeronautical, and Naval Engineering, as well as Applied Sciences.

The conference focused on recent research in areas such as materials engineering, renewable energy, artificial intelligence (AI), industrial Internet of Things (IoT), thermal engineering, aerospace and avionics, aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, fluid dynamics and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), design and manufacturing, mechatronics, and robotics.

It is anticipated that this conference will establish a global forum for researchers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and students, thereby fostering innovations and sustainable developments in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aeronautical, and Naval Engineering, and Applied Sciences. These advancements are expected to have a significant impact on shaping the future of Bangladesh, the release stated.

Major General Md Nasim Parvez, Commandant, MIST, graced the inauguration ceremony on July 17, 2025, as Chief Patron.
