Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen yesterday paid a courtesy call on Commerce Adviser Sk. Bashir Uddin, with discussions focusing on further strengthening bilateral trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges of views on deepening the level of trade and investment cooperation, according to a message from the Chinese embassy.
Bangladesh and China are actively working to expand cooperation in various areas, including infrastructure, digital trade, green energy, and technology transfer. The aim is to create more opportunities for businesses and boost employment in Bangladesh.
In recent years, bilateral trade between the two nations has continued to grow. Bangladesh is actively seeking greater access for its products to the Chinese market as part of its efforts to address the existing trade imbalance.
