Gaza rescuers say 38 killed in Israeli attacks on Eid day

As Palestinians celebrated the Eid al-Azha holiday amid the threat of war for the second year in a row, 38 people were killed by Israeli strikes or shooting on Friday throughout the Palestinian territory, according to Gaza’s civil defense service.

Mohammed al-Mughayyir, a civil defense officer, told AFP that 38 people had been killed in Israeli attacks since morning, including 11 in a single hit in the northern city of Jabalia.
