Bangladesh envoy presents credentials to Lebanese president 

At the Presidential Palace in Lebanon on Wednesday, Major General Muhammad Zubair Salehin, the recently appointed ambassador of Bangladesh to Lebanon, gave Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun his credentials.

According to a communication received here today, senior representatives from the Lebanese President’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were there, along with Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji.

The ambassador of Bangladesh met briefly with the president of Lebanon following the presentation of credentials.

During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed the greetings of Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus to the President of Lebanon. 

Lebanese President congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh and assured all possible cooperation in discharging his duties. 

The President made special reference to the aid that the people of Bangladesh sent during the aftermath of the Beirut Port explosion.

Additionally, he reaffirmed his unwavering resolve to further strengthen the benevolent bilateral ties between Bangladesh and Lebanon.

The ambassador talked about how well the two nations get along on a bilateral basis.

Additionally, he emphasized how critical it is to take bilateral relations to the next level and give them significance for both nations’ citizens.

He mentioned that the Bangladesh government is firmly committed to working together with the Lebanese government.
