In honor of “Safety Helmet Awareness Week,” the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) carried out a surveillance campaign in Rajshahi.
According to a press release, BSTI requested that vendors in the Station Road, Darikharbona, and Ranibazar regions abstain from selling and distributing subpar “Protective Helmets for Two Wheeler Riders” without first receiving the organization’s quality or exemption certificate.
Additionally, the organization promoted the purchase of BSTI-branded helmets.
BSTI officers Mohammad Shafiqul Alam, Md Sharif Hossain, and Engineer Junayed Ahmed attended the event, which was chaired by BSTI Director Zahura Sikder.
