CA Press Wing debunks India.com report on Prof Yunus’s family

The Chief Adviser’s Press Wing stated today that the article on Professor Muhammad Yunus’s family that was posted on India.com is untrue.

The Press Wing said in a statement on its verified Facebook page, CA Press Wing Facts, that it is a part of a misinformation effort against Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, his family, and the Interim Government of Bangladesh, which is being coordinated by India.

As stated in the post, Professor Yunus did not make any financial contributions to the Hillary Clinton Foundation. According to the statement, his daughter Monica Yunus has not benefited from his association with the Clintons and, in contrast to the assertion, she never held a position in Joe Biden’s government.

Additionally untrue is the claim that Professor Yunus received millions of dollars in loans during Hillary Clinton’s tenure as US Secretary of State.

According to the statement, Prof. Yunus was also not involved in the World Bank’s decision to cancel any loan agreement for the Padma Bridge project.
