In an effort to elevate their relationship, Bangladesh and Timor-Leste have signed two agreements on visa exemption and the creation of a bilateral consultation mechanism (BCM).
In the presence of Timor-Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta and Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, the agreements were signed during a joint press conference at the Chief Adviser’s Office (CAO) here.
Timor-Leste Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Dr. Bendito dos Santos Freitas and Home Advisor Lt Gen Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury signed the agreement exempting holders of diplomatic and official or service passports from the need for a visa on behalf of their respective parties.
Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain and Dr Bendito dos Santos Freitas inked the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the establishment of bilateral consultation mechanism (BCM).
