Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus invited FIFA President Gianni Infantino to attend the youth festival in Bangladesh in January of next year, and Infantino accepted.
According to a message received today, Infantino met with the Chief Adviser on Tuesday on the sidelines of COP29 in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, together with a number of other important officials and world leaders.
He was informed about the festival by Prof. Yunus, who also asked for his assistance in bringing reputable women’s football teams to Bangladesh.
He is currently attending the global climate meeting in Baku for four days as part of an official visit.
The chief adviser landed in Baku yesterday (Monday) at approximately 5:15 p.m. local time on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.
He will speak at several side events and attend several COP29 sessions.
