Trump accused of groping model he met through Jeffrey Epstein

The Guardian newspaper said on Wednesday that a former model has accused Donald Trump of molesting her after sexual abuser Jeffrey Epstein introduced them in the 1990s.

According to Stacey Williams, she dated the disgraced financier who introduced her to the Republican White House candidate at a party in 1992.

“It became very clear then that he and Donald were really, really good friends and spent a lot of time together,” Williams was quoted as saying.

Williams spoke about the alleged assault during a Monday call hosted by Survivors for Kamala, a lobbying organisation that backs Kamala Harris, Trump’s Democratic presidential opponent.

Williams claimed that during an unplanned meeting with Trump in 1992 at his New York office complex, Epstein—who was convicted of sex offences and committed suicide in jail in 2019—pulled her towards him and started groping her.

Williams, 56, claims that as Trump placed his hands “all over” her breasts, waist, and buttocks, she froze in place and saw that the two men seemed to be grinning at one another.

A spokesman for the Trump campaign was described by The Guardian as calling the accusations a “fake” article, however the campaign did not immediately reply to AFP’s request for comment.

She characterised Williams as “a former activist” for Democratic former President Barack Obama and claimed that the Harris campaign created it.

Following the program, Williams revealed a postcard she said Trump had sent her agent that showed his property in south Florida. It had the following handwritten message: “Stacey – Your second home. Love, Donald.

More than 20 women have accused Trump of sexual assault and harassment, but he denies any misconduct.

He was ordered by a New York court in January to pay $83.3 million to compensate the writer E. Jean Carroll, whom he was found liable for sexually assaulting and defaming.
