UK economy grew slower than thought in second quarter

Revisions to official data from Monday showed that the British economy expanded less than first thought in the second quarter, delivering a fresh setback to the new administration just one month before its first budget.

The Office for National Statistics released a statement stating that the gross domestic product increased by 0.5 percent during the April-June period, contrary to their initial estimate of 0.6 percent.
