Chief Adviser pays homage to martyred members of armed forces

Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser to the interim government, honored the military personnel who gave their lives in the Great War of Liberation by laying a wreath at the Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment today.

Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, and Armed Forces Principal Staff Officer Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hassan welcomed the chief adviser when he arrived at Shikha Anirban at 11:30 a.m.

According to an ISPR press release, the chief adviser signed the visitor’s book at the Shikha Anirban after laying the wreath.

Later, he completed his first workday at the Armed Forces Division at his own office.

The Principal Staff Officer and Director General of the Armed Forces Division welcomed the top adviser upon his arrival at the division.
Next, the chief adviser received a courtesy call at his office from the chiefs of three services.

The chief adviser’s special assistant for defense and issues of national reconciliation, Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Hafiz, was in attendance.
