Bangladesh, Qatar to work together for developing industrial sector: Humayun

Bangladesh and Qatar would collaborate to advance Bangladesh’s industrial sector, stated Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun Monday.

“Due to the business friendly environment and policies of the present government, Qatar has shown interest to invest in various sectors including LNG and fertilizer in Bangladesh,” he said.

A news release from the ministry stated that the minister made these remarks during an interview with Qatar TV, the state channel of Qatar, to commemorate the impending visit of Qatar Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Bangladesh on April 22 and 23.

According to Humayun, an agreement pertaining to the development and protection of mutual investment between the two nations would be inked during the Amir of Qatar’s impending visit.

The interview was conducted by Qatar TV Presenter Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Bledah in the presence of associated Qatar TV personnel and Press Secretary of the Qatar Embassy in Dhaka, Hamed Jamil Hussain.
