The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) issued a prediction today that the current mild to moderate heat wave, which is now affecting the districts of Nilphamari and Netrokona, as well as the divisions of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet, may spread over the course of the next 24 hours starting.
“Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country,” the weather bulletin said.
The country’s highest temperature was 40.0 degrees Celsius on Saturday at Rangamati, and Tetulia recorded the lowest temperature of 20.4 degrees Celsius today.
In the capital, the sun rises at 5:37 AM tomorrow and sets at 6:20 PM today.
