Pacer Tanzim Sakib was ruled out of the third ODI against Sri Lanka

Due to an injury, Bangladeshi bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib will not play in tomorrow’s (Monday) third and final ODI against Sri Lanka in Chattogram.

In the first One-Day International, the young bowler was observed battling a hamstring ailment. Despite this, he managed to collect 3-44 and help Bangladesh win the match by six wickets.

He did not appear to be at ease in the second game either. After Sri Lanka leveled the series with a three-wicket victory in the second game, he was ultimately ruled out of the crucial third match due to a hamstring injury.

“Tanzim is experiencing pain and discomfort of his right hamstring. He did not feel any better at training today and is not fit to play tomorrow,” national team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan said today.

Hasan Mahmud, a fellow pacer, has been called up to the Bangladesh team to take Tanzim’s spot for the third One-Day International.
