Indian government invites 36 freedom fighters to bijoy dibos celebration in Kolkata 

The Indian government has extended an invitation to thirty brave independence warriors and six active Bangladeshi military officers along with their spouses to participate in the six-day annual Vijoy Dibos celebration.

According to sources close to the Indian High Commission in Dhaka, the Indian Army has extended an invitation to them on behalf of the Indian government for this yearly event, which is set for December 14–19, 2023, at Fort Willium, Kolkata.

The invitees include retired Secretary Momin Ullah Patwary, Major General BU Harun Ahmed Chowdhury (retd), Bhola Zila Parishad chairman Abdul Momin Tulu, Brig. General BB Gyasuddin A Chowdhury (retd), DIG of Police (retd) Kazi Zainul Abedin, Group Captain of Bangladesh Air Force M Khalilur Rahman (retd) and Creative Publisher Milan Kanti Nath.

According to the sources, the Indian High Commission in Dhaka would arrange for their transportation from Dhaka to Kolkata and return, as well as offer them the full spectrum of local hospitality while they are in Kolkata.
