In response to criticism over the slow pace at which essential supplies are getting to the war-torn Palestinian territory, a senior Hamas leader on Sunday urged Egypt to take “decisive” measures to accelerate relief to Gaza.
“Egypt should not remain a spectator,” Hamas politburo member Musa Abu Marzouk said in a statement. “We expect a decisive stance by Egypt allowing aid to enter Gaza as soon as possible.”
Aid organizations have warned that Gaza’s severe shortages of gasoline, food, water, and medications could be fatal.
