Six individuals were killed in a small plane crash on Friday night in the Rocky Mountains to the west of Calgary, Canada, according to media reports on Saturday.
The plane, which took off from Springbank Airport at 8:45 p.m. (0145 GMT Saturday) for Salmon Arm, British Columbia, and was lost about 30 minutes later, had five passengers and one pilot, according to police.
The accident was discovered on Saturday about 7:30 a.m. (1230 GMT) in a hilly region about 100 kilometers west of Calgary, and all six dead have been securely recovered, according to sources.
According to sources, neither the victims’ names nor the crash’s origin have been made public.
